Everest names Pamela Sinclair as Chief Human Resources Officer

Everest Group, Ltd., a provider of property, casualty, and specialty reinsurance and insurance, announced that Pamela Sinclair will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective July 14.

everest-logo-2024She will report to Jim Williamson, Everest’s President and CEO, and will become part of the Executive Leadership Team.

Sinclair takes over from Gail Van Beveren, who is retiring after a long career with Everest that began in 1986. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in human resources across financial services and insurance.

Most recently, she was the Global Head of Human Resources at PGIM, an asset management firm with $1.4 trillion in assets under management.

Her responsibilities included overseeing recruitment, compensation, succession planning, leadership development, and employee programs for a workforce of more than 4,500 people.

Before that, Sinclair served in a similar HR leadership role at PGIM Real Estate and held positions on the firm’s Global Management and Operating Councils.

Earlier in her career, she worked at Barclays Capital as a Senior HR Business Partner and led the firm’s learning and development team in New York. She also spent over a decade in HR roles at Barclays Bank in both New York and London, where she was involved in managing personnel during organisational restructuring and M&A activity.

“Pam is an exceptional HR leader with a track record of optimising and aligning human capital strategies with business objectives,” added Jim Williamson.

“Her broad, global experience will be integral to supporting the world-class talent who drive Everest’s high-performing, people-first culture and deliver on our value creation strategy.”

“At the same time, we thank Gail for her outstanding contributions and commitment to Everest over the past 39 years, and wish her the best in her retirement,” Williamson concluded.

Sinclair holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Greenwich University in London, where she graduated with honours.
